1. Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy applies to Visa Help (App), Visa Help (US), and Visa Help (Canada) (together, "Visa Help," "we," "our," or "us"), the visahelp.app website, and related product pages at /us and /can. The apps are published by Dot Business Integrated Solutions.
Visa Help is an informational guide. It is not a law firm, not an immigration consultant, and not USCIS, IRCC, or any government. If you do not agree with this policy, do not use the Service.
2. Information we collect
The mobile apps require an account. You can create one with Sign in with Apple, Google, or email. We collect:
- Account information: Name and email address used to create and run your account.
- Identifiers: A user ID used to authenticate you and keep saved visa journeys, searches, and attorney shares tied to your account.
- Immigration information you enter: Country of origin, current status, destination, visa goals, and related details you provide so the app can build a roadmap.
- Approximate location: Coarse location, when you allow it, for app functionality such as suggesting nearby immigration professionals. It is not sold. You can turn off Location Services for the app in iOS Settings.
- Purchase records: Optional search credits or subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive the status of the purchase, not your full payment card number.
3. How we use information
- To run your account, saved journeys, and the visa roadmap.
- To return nearby professionals when you use that feature.
- To send optional visa AI answers through our servers.
- To process in-app purchases with Apple.
- To provide support and to meet legal obligations.
4. Sharing
We share information with:
- Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, and a callable function that sends prompts for optional AI answers.
- OpenAI: Optional visa AI answers. The iOS apps do not ship an OpenAI key. Prompts go through Firebase Secret Manager.
- Apple: App distribution and in-app purchase processing.
- Attorneys you choose: If you save or share a visa search with an attorney in the app, that attorney has their own privacy practices for what you send them.
Confirm fees, forms, and processing times on official USCIS, Department of State, or IRCC pages before you file. Optional AI answers can be wrong or out of date.
5. Storage and security
Account data and saved journeys are stored with Google Firebase/Firestore with encryption in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
6. Retention
Account data and saved journeys stay until you delete them or we delete the account at your request, unless we must keep a record to meet a legal obligation.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent.
8. GDPR and CCPA
If you are in the EEA or UK, we process data to perform the contract for the app features you use, with your consent where required (for example Location Services), and for legitimate interests such as security. If you are a California resident, you may request the categories and pieces of personal information we collect and request deletion. We do not sell personal information. Exercising these rights will not change the price of the app.
9. Cookies on visahelp.app
The visahelp.app marketing site may use cookies that are separate from the mobile apps. See the cookie notice on that page if one is shown. Disabling cookies may limit some site features. The iOS apps do not use the same website cookies.
10. Children
Visa Help is a general-audience reference tool. We do not target children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children for a child-directed service. If you believe a child has created an account, contact privacy@visahelp.app and we will delete it.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last Updated" date at the top will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
